Review:
After redesigning and revamping the product Norton has made significant improvement over last years software.
Installation was a breeze, and there was no hang ups whatsoever. In just a couple minutes we were up and running, and we didn't even need to restart the computer.
Now, Symantec has been listening to its users, and this year the company
delivers a slimmed-down and faster Norton Antivirus 2010…We especially
like the Insight feature, which identifies "trusted" files and
applications and doesn't waste time rescanning them unless there's been
a change. A new feature which we also really like is Norton's pulse updates which updates every 5-15 minutes to detect and eliminate new threats.
In terms of
Nortons interface this year's redesign is much cleaner and more
sophisticated. With straight forward tabs that are easy to customize
we found no real downside to it.
Norton
Antivirus 2010 is at the top of the charts when it comes to scanning
and catching viruses, posting impressive results in many third party
tests; it sits at the top along with programs like Kaspersky and McAfee
Antivirus.
As far as
support goes, tech support calls are now free. Online support covers
topics like problems with live update, error messages virus detection
and removal and much more.
Overall Norton 2010 is a fantastic product and the revamping over previous years really hit home.
